My Story
Growing up with single-sided deafness (SSD), I learned how to relate outside of my comfort zone and lean on adaptive skills for processing information and deep listening. This required me to develop a strong observational and relational lens, which began a lifelong fascination with human behavior. Over time, I came to understand that meaning often lives in what isn’t being said—the pauses, the small spaces, the moments in between. Slowing down to notice these subtleties has revealed that the biggest insights, shifts, and transformations often emerge from what is unspoken.
This curiosity led me to explore multiple disciplines—studying theatre and film in the arts, childhood development and psychology in academia, and undergoing in-depth training in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and co-active professional coaching. Each of these experiences expanded my understanding of how people think, feel, connect, and create.
Throughout my career—spanning entrepreneurship, author and VC coaching, publishing, marketing, and branding—this passion for human behavior has remained a guiding force. Working in fast-paced environments, I’ve seen how deep listening strengthens teams, sharpens messaging, and aligns companies and entrepreneurs with their audiences.
At my core, I am devoted to the pursuit of transformation—not just in the world around us, but within ourselves and our connections to others. My mission is to listen deeply, attune to the essence of your vision, and amplify it in a way that feels both personal and universally resonant.
Training & Education
-
My final qualitative phenomenological research project focused on single-sided deafness and downward cross-modal plasticity. I explored neuroplasticity and how the brain adapts to compensate for sensory loss. This left me with an understanding of how the mind can transform through adversity and how small shifts can lead to profound changes.
In my work as a coach, I draw on this knowledge with client work. Whether you're facing challenges, seeking personal growth, or aiming to align more deeply with your vision, I guide you to trust your capacity for change—finding new ways to adapt, grow, and create meaningful impact
-
Trained in the ICF-accredited Co-Active Coaching model, a globally recognized program focused on personal transformation and professional coaching.
-
Completed a T-Group training at Stanford and have been practicing this dynamic, experiential approach to non-violent communication and interpersonal leadership for seven years. This practice is especially powerful when presencing what is happening in the moment and articulating it clearly.
I draw on these skills to support clients with communication challenges or in navigating group dynamics, helping them bring awareness to the present and express themselves with clarity, accountability, and authenticity.
-
Completed a year-long Master Practitioner NLP program in Marin, CA, where I gained advanced skills in neurolinguistic programming that continue to inform and enhance my work with clients.
-
I studied human behavior and the foundational patterns shaped in our earliest years, earning an AA in Early Childhood Education.
Research shows that up to 80% of brain development occurs in the first three years of life, a critical period during which most of our programming is formed.
This understanding informs my work with clients, as I recognize how early experiences shape behavior, communication styles, and emotional responses.
By helping clients uncover and shift limiting patterns from these formative years, I guide them toward greater self-awareness in both their personal and professional lives.
-
In a former life, I studied theatre and film, producing acclaimed live productions in Los Angeles.
This experience taught me how to manage large, complex projects from inception to execution while embracing the creativity and flexibility needed to thrive in unpredictable environments. Through experiential learning and improvisation, I honed the ability to adapt quickly and think on my feet—skills I now use to help clients navigate challenges, bring their creative visions to life, and execute their own ambitious projects with confidence.
-
Embodiment is a crucial part of integration. During our work, I will sometimes invite you to connect with your body for deeper insight.
-
Growing up in a home immersed in the Alexander Technique—both of my parents were practitioners and ran a teacher training school—I absorbed its principles through osmosis.
Later, while training in the performing arts, I studied the technique more formally, deepening my understanding of body awareness and tension release.
Today, I integrate this practice gently with clients when tuning into the body, releasing tension, and cultivating greater physical and emotional presence.
What I Believe:
Addressing the Whole Person
Our personal, business, and creative realms reflect one another. Patterns or barriers appearing in one area often surface in others. By nurturing awareness in any aspect of our lives, we catalyze positive change throughout.
Practicing Accountability
Embracing accountability for our decisions and experiences propels us toward empowerment, whether as leaders or creators.
Compassion as a Choice
Cultivating tenderness toward ourselves and addressing the underlying needs beneath reactions or fears fosters empathy for others, whether they're team members, family, or clients.
Curiosity as a Tool
Embracing curiosity, both about ourselves and others, guides us to deeper understanding and innovative solutions.
Transformation through Creation
Initiating a project, achieving a goal, or manifesting something tangible in the world inevitably transforms us. Remaining conscious and present throughout the process is the key difference between enduring change and laborious progress.
Aligned Values & Behavior
Perfection isn't the goal, but striving to align beliefs with actions fosters integrity and self-trust. Establishing accountability partnerships for mutual reflection enhances this journey toward congruence.
